2019 Annual Educational Symposium

AALA will host its 40th Annual Agricultural Law Educational Symposium on November 6-9, 2019 in Washington D.C.

Attendees may earn between 4-5 CLE credits for Thursday and 12 -14 credits of CLE (including up to 3 ethics hours) for Friday-Saturday. Our two-day symposium is headquartered at the Key Bridge Marriott at 1401 Lee Highway, Alexandria, Virginia. We are once again offering a Thursday “off-site” CLE for those who wish to attend; our venue this year is the USDA Jefferson Auditorium at 1200 Independence Avenue SW, Washington DC 20024.

Thursday’s program will include a featured speaker, a general counsel panel, an update from the EPA and three separate updates from the USDA. There are 11 keynote sessions and 30 concurrent sessions over the course of Friday and Saturday. Concurrent sessions are organized by five tracks:food law; in-house/corporate counsel; new practitioner; policy; and private practitioner.

Our popular “Ag Law Updates” are once again offered, with 3 updates on Friday and 3 updates on Saturday morning. Our update speakers will cover new developments in Agri-finance and Bankruptcy, Agricultural Taxation, Environment and Natural Resources, Water and Land Use, Food, and Federal Policy Issues, including the Farm Bill.

The symposium also includes AALA’s 40th Anniversary Awards Luncheon that you will not want to miss!

Thank you to our generous sponsors, which provide invaluable support to the AALA as we offer our 40th annual educational symposium.

We are look forward to seeing you in Washington DC! 2018-19 AALA President-Elect Mike Traxinger
